I want to take a moment to send an extra special shout out and to wish a felicitude of multitudinous good stuff- (All requests for clarification on the aforementioned should be submitted to Mrs. 1 from Oz , or to his highness George Bush, who is apparently also from Oz) - upon a very trusted and loyal friend whom- for our purposes today- we will refer to as Oscar.
Wait a minute, let me get this right- (to get the full effect of my sincerity- you must read the following "thank you" as robotically and unenthusiastically as Dee used to deliver every single one of her lines, during every single episode of "What's Happening" in which she appeared.) All together now, we are going for quintessential Deadpan here people- let's rock n' roll- and, action:
"Oscar - dearest - you- are- the - one - who- has - my - eternal - thanks - for- making - all -aspects - of- this - blog - possible. I - could - not -have- done- it- without - you. You - are- the - beast, I- mean - best. How - could - I - ever - repay - you? Why - don't - I - start - with - the - $20- that - I - owe - you?"
SYKE! - Just jokes O.G.- don't be so sensitive.
Seriously now. I thank you for sharing your sister's blog with me, which served as inspiration for me to create my own. That was a real good look! You know that, IMHO, you are the bee's knees. Even when you are being, dare I say, a little grouchy.

So I heard my personal muse Maxwell on the radio yesterday (backdrop...I almost NEVER listen to regular old radio stations, either it's cd or talk radio) and who was on but Maxwell. Ever so graciously engaged in an interview with a lackluster announcer on a lackluster station. Now you all know that it has been a minute, ok seven years, since we have really heard from this brother. Seems to me, from what I hear it's about to be worth the wait. I believe his new album, which is a trilogy called "Black Summers Night" drops July 7th. Suffice it to say, I am quickly falling in love with the first single "pretty wings"...check the link above. What I love about Maxwell is the love and respect for women that infuses his music. He makes me feel what he is feeling in a song. Hola y bienvenido mi amigos (hello and welcome back my friends), It's been a minute I know. I recently returned from a much needed escape to Puerto Rico. It was a very relaxing trip and gave me some time to sort some things out and look at some things from a different perspective. I came away from my trip refreshed and with a couple of realizations that I would like to lay on you. Got a minute? Good. While I would never volunteer to act as an interpreter during a meeting at my job-unless forced to do so- I really do know more Spanish than I let on. My college professors were right, language immersion is the key to bridging the gap to fluency.
